Drop in a RELIEF purchases or sales DAT file, or a list. Get plain answers.
What it checks
- Characters. Names and addresses with anything but letters, numbers and spaces.
- Totals. The header totals against the sum of the lines.
- TINs. Nine digits, not zeros, the same owner TIN on every line, and the file name matching the header.
- Lengths. A name over 50 characters, an address line over 30, the wrong number of fields.
- VAT. Input or output VAT that is not 12% of the base.
- Repeats. The same TIN on more than one line.
It also reads our own lists: a sales and purchases list, or a list of 2307 certificates, and tells you which lines cannot be right.
Private. The file is read in your browser. It is not sent anywhere, and no sign-in is needed.
This checks the file against the rules we have seen RELIEF apply. It does not replace the BIR’s own validation module; run both.
